Networks and paths of European cultures
The selected project must be relevant to textual transmission, in a synchronic sense (translations, compendiums, adaptations, editions, comments, etc.) or in a diachronic sense (manuscript and printed tradition, subsequent reworkings, rewritings). The process of text transmission can be analyzed both from a linguistic point of view (translation techniques, modernizations) and from a philological-literary, cultural and ideological point of view (tradition, reception, parodies, subversive rewritings, actualizations, contaminations).
In any case, the investigation must concern the reasons and methods of transmission of a text or a textual corpus - in written or oral tradition - between different linguistic and/or cultural contexts or, chronologically, from a historical-cultural context to a context historically subsequent.
The doctoral scholarship is financed within the Project of Excellence.
